Hot Flashes are an inevitable factor with menopause. They are unavoidable, but you can safely treat Hot Flashes using Young Living Essential Oils instead of modern medicines. Women do not have to suffer with the flashes of heat that start in our chest and radiate upwards to our face, causing intense heat, red color to our skin, sweating and even chills.
Numerous factors influence Hot Flashes. Here are just a few:
- Hormonal imbalance
- Your diet (for me it is sugars)
For most women it is not too difficult to figure out what triggers the Hot Flash. It can be difficult to determine how to handle that trigger effectively.
Most women in their 40’s have heard from their doctors that when menopause and Hot Flashes occur then they need to go on HRT (Hormonal Replacement Therapy). My doctor told me when I was in my late 40’s that I needed to start HRT. I remember looking at him and telling him no. I did not want the increased risk of breast cancer. I remember him telling me that HRT was completely safe and that he would give it to his own mother, and I told him go ahead. I was not taking HRT.
I did some research and found that taking Black Cohosh gave me some relief. Unfortunately, it is not always reliable.
Then I found Young Living Essential Oils. I found that by using Peppermint Essential Oil it stopped the Hot Flash and cooled me down. Using Progessence Plus Serum Essential Oil helped balance my hormones where I was not having crazy food cravings. Inhaling one of the emotional oils helped with reducing stress, tension, and uplifted my mood and spirits. Here are a few: Lavender, Ylang Ylang, Peace & Calming, White Angelica, Clarity, Frankincense, and Jasmine. There are many more to choose from.
Some oils that do help with Hot Flashes are:
Clary Sage—contains natural phytoestrogens, which makes this oil a perfect choice for supporting a normal, healthy attitude during PMS and supporting women during menopause. It has a mellow, warm, herbal scent that is uplifting and relaxing. Place on wrists, ankles, feet, and the first three chakras up to several times a day.
Dragon Time – this is an oil blend of calming and soothing essential oils. It helps balance emotions, alleviates mood swings and headaches caused by hormonal imbalance. It is a blend of Clary Sage, Lavender, Jasmine, Fennel, Marjoram, and Yarrow. Place on temples, neck, wrists, both sides of the ankles and feet up to several times a day.
Endoflex – this oil is a blend of Spearmint, Sage, Geranium, Myrtle, German Chamomile, Nutmeg and Sesame seed oil. This oil increases metabolism and creates hormonal balance. Place on the front of the neck (at the thyroid), kidneys, lower back, liver and feet several times a day.
In treating your Hot Flashes, you may need to try several different oils and even supplements to determine which oils work the best for you. Above are a few that seem to help the majority of the women with Hot Flashes. You will need to play around with the number of drops needed and where you get the best response when using the oils on your body. Start small and slowing increase. It usually takes 2-3 days before you notice a difference. Your body will respond almost immediately when the oils are applied.
